I think that one of the most important elements of a serene bedroom is a beautined up nightstands. So here are some very easy tips that I like to follow for the visual anchor of my room. The easiest way to start up is by getting a vase and a set of flowers whether you like them fake or real, flowers always left up the entire room. I got my vase from Zarahome filled it up with my favorite flower (pink peonies). I always check Zarahome website before hitting the mall, to ensure that what I’m looking for is available instead of coming back home empty handed.

Adding Books is always a good decorating tip, especially fashion books, always beautifully covered. So this would be the second thing I’d have on my table.

Your nightstand has to contain the essential items that you need just before going to sleep, and first thing when you wake up in the morning. How to sum those essentials on your nightstand is pretty easy. All you need is a tray. In my case At night the first thing I need is Baies interior scent, the scent combines A bouquet of roses and blackcurrant leaves, which gives a perfect breeze of a garden feel in my room, so I like to spray a bit of it before I hit the shower. I also like to keep my favorite hand & body cream “PINK wild at heart” and my favorite perfumes in a tiny tray ( Wild bluebell by Jo Malone, Valentina by Valentino, Fresh Musk and Light Musk by Aljazeera). I love Arabian scents from Oud to Musk, my favorite scent for the last month has been Light Musk! You need to give it a sniff if you’re a die hard Arabian scents lover.

EDITED 3 photco 1-3What I keep on my nightstand is very changeable sometimes instead of having a set of perfumes, I might replace them with a candle or a jewellery box where I keep my daily jewellery or the leftovers of yesterday’s party, I got the green one and the mirrored one from Zarahome.

My second nightstand is a combination of stolen tableware from my mom’s kitchen kabord – way to be creative huh?- Starting from a heart-shaped tray from iDesign, containing a Villeroy&Boch glass jar for updated seasonal nailpolish, My favorite Jo Malone summery body cream Blackberry&bay and LSAinternational bowl that could contain girly snacks or daily jewels.

Make Up: Gold Baroque

photoBefore I start with my makeup, I have to fix some issues with my skin, if it’s one of those days where its unbelievably dehydrated, I would use Liz Earle moisturizer. The second thing I would do is apply Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye cream which is the perfect base for concealer. I have this issue where I feel that every time I apply concealer my under eye area gets darker and darker, and concealer is not something I’m willing to let go of, so I got this product for the purpose of using it as concealer base. However, there is an issue with this product if you start applying your concealer immediately after you applied it, your makeup is going to look greasy and flaky and all kind of things that you don’t want to see, you HAVE to wait at least 15 minutes before starting up with your makeup same goes with moisturizer.

fMoving on to the next step, I start by using MAC prep+prime to help increase the lifetime of my makeup. Now with all the fun not colorless stuff, first I would apply concealer on any blemishes or scars and also under my eyes, I recently purchased Chanel correction perfection concealer, I really like it however I still do believe nothing can top up my previous Cargo concealer that I’ve previously mentioned I’m really upset we no longer have it at Sephore, I don’t understand why every time I get hooked on something they shut it down, it seems that I jinx products *sorry producers* .. anyway I fell off subject there, for the perfect foundation I like to mix MAC studio Fix nc25 with Chanel Mat Lumiere 20 on my heart paw palette using MAC 190 brush . If you’re a mac user you would know that sometimes their foundation could get a bit to yellowyy and this is why I love mixing it with a lighter foundation to get the perfect coverage. After I’m done with the foundation I would blend some more using MAC 130SE brush. then to brighten up my eyes I apply a teeny bit of YSL radiant touch in the corner of my eyes. Because I used fake tan on my body my face need to be tanned as well, A spray of Soap & Glory Glow Getter

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Untitled-3

Few people have asked if I have ever tried drugstore makeup and my answer is always “No” so I thought I’d change the answer to something else..

1I thought I’d give boots a visit and check out their products..

foundationI really like trying on new foundations and I have heard so many good things about the Revlon Colorstay foundation so I thought I’d give it a try. I wouldn’t say it’s the best foundation but it’s pretty good, I liked it’s texture the only thing is it does not stay as long but that’s probably because I picked up the normal/dry skin one instead of oily/combination skin which is my fault not the foundation’s fault. But overall I’d say it’s good not great.

fI also picked up the Maybelline Dream Lumi touch highlighting concealer the first time I applied it, I did not like it at all and the second time I kinda felt a little bit better about it.. so I’m not really sure how I feel about it quite yet.

Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer. I absolutely love this! It conceales pretty well yes but I also love it for another reason. I don’t tweeze my eyebrows, I bleach them so sometimes I’m left with little brand new hairs and they usually bother me SO MUCH this was the perfect solution for it I would just apply a little bit under the peak of my eyebrow where they usually appear and it will hide them like magic and actually prefect the shape of my eyebrow. I don’t use it as my main concealer because I love mine more but I do use it daily for my eyebrows.

IMG_2074I got maybelline Flared mascara and Cat eyes mascara. I LOVED that flared mascara so much! it does not smudge at all which is a huge appreciation and most mascaras give me a headache -yup it’s pretty weird I’m pretty sure i’m the only one who gets mascara headaches- this one is too light that it doesn’t give me on. on the other hand I hated the cat eyes it’s the exact opposite too heavy on the lashes and smudges like crazy

eI got two lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection by Rimmel. This is my favorite pick up. They last for so long, pigmented and mat just they way I like my lipsticks. got them in 90 and 10.

Girls Night out

After spending the day with my dad, sister and brother at Greenwich I needed to see my girls, first we had a stop at Selfridges. And what’s a better meeting point than my favorite department store? did a little shopping & then headed for one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever tasted at thistle hotel (Thanks to Sara & Jwaher who told me about it). Now to be honest with you it’s not the greatest place for a sit down but you can always pick up your to go cup.

The sun started fading as we continued our walk to the knightbridge, where we stopped for Arabic desserts & Coffee.

How I wore my make up:

So many people asked me about my daily makeup and outfits, so I decided to make a frequent blogpost about that. Before getting into makeup let’s talk about “The before”:

1- I start first by applying sunscreen “Remede”

2- Then apply “Beaute Initiale” by Chanel (I only apply this step when my face is dehydrated)

3- Wait a couple of minutes, then apply Tom Ford protective Primer

4- Last is Prep+Prime by MAC, helps your makeup stay longer

After protecting my skin I start applying my makeup.

1- First thing I apply is One Base concealer by “Cargo”

2- Then, Chanel “Mat Lumiere” foundation

3- fill my eye brows with “Rich brown 11” by Bobbi Brown

4- Start applying eyeshadow, this time I chose to use one of my favorite kits that I created by MAC it contains four colors “Kid” “Nylon” “Tempting” “Charcoal brown”

5- Apply eyeliner, I use “RapidBlack” penultimate eyeliner by MAC. Definitely the best eyeliner I’ve used, I’d never change it.

6- First I use eyelashes curler, then apply Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara.

7- Apply bronzing powder by MAC “Refined Golden”

8- And it ends with the application of lipstick, I used “Costa Chic” by MAC

What I wore:

Top: Massimo Dutti

Purse: Chanel ( I kinda stole my mom’s vintage Chanel) :p

Shoes: Valentino

Cat Eye Sunglasses: Dior

Necklace:  Bijoux Heart

Greenwich

My first day at London was spent at Greenwich village, beautiful place I loved the fact that so many movies were shot there like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and 20 more others. it is indeed a perfect setting for historical movies where it’s built upon the traditional European architecture..

There were very few distracts that were built modernly, one of them and the tallest one is “The Shard” a beauteous skyscraper owned by Qatar.

Bliss

Bliss has been proven one of the best spas world wide, today I’m reveling the experiences I’ve had with bliss, before talking treatments let’s talk decor, I really loved the colors and the interior design of the place no wonder it won an Award for Best Spa Design, the colors chosen takes you to a more girly modernized world.

Moving on to facials I chose to do their most famous facial ‘the triple oxygen treatment’ and it was truly the best facial I’ve ever had. You will exit the room with a glowy beautiful face, what I loved is that they squeezed their oxygen treatments into bottles that you can purchase. therefore, you can take the treatment to your home. My therapist also recommended me some skin care products that I have been using for a month now and after all the problems  I’ve had with my skin I’m left with only  positive feedback.

And even if you’re not interested in facials and body treatments you can enjoy their unlimited nail care treatments from hot cream manicure to heels-recovery pedicure
