Spring

IMG_7452 Amidst the noise and crowds, the shops and carts all I needed was an inhale of a tranquil oasis, somewhere where I could lose myself in the beauty of what God has created. The closest place that fitted my cravings was St. James Park, so this is where mt feet carried me..
An early spring has waved into London this year and every park is ornamented with beautiful-odoriferous blossoms that were falling off their branches discoloring the ground as if a shower of pink snow had fallen. I honestly cannot describe how beautiful the park is because of them and how joyful it is to look at them!

I think pastels are absolutely magnificent for spring, not too bright but light enough.

& Other Stories Haul

photo 2-1 copyI still have so much to tell you about my summer vacation and what you shouldn’t miss if you plan your euro-trip but I seriously couldn’t wait to rave and tell you all about my new find (probably not so new to so many people).

Paris has been our sixth and last stop and you certainly know what Paris is mostly famous for: The shopping, lots of it. On one of the golden days, as we were walking under the sunlight and as we passed by the historical Place Vendome I was stunned by the beauty of fashion that revolved in one circle, we finally reached rue Saint-Honoré and there it was “& other stories” which is an amazing shopping store, it easily entered my list of top places to shop at. Lucky for me they also have a store in London, I’m definitely going to be a regular.

This is what I have bought:

-Angora-blend sweater
Metal Choker Necklace (I forgot to take a picture of it)
-Panel leggings
-Punk Bouquet body wash
-Punk Bouquet body scrub: I have already tried this product and I have fallen harshly in love with it. Sometimes scrubs could be a bit hard on my skin, not this one, incredibly soft( the softest scrub I have ever used) yet gets rid of any dry patches, leaving my skin polished with a silken texture and a luscious scent.
-Punk Bouquet body Soufflé: I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said I want to marry this product. It has every quality that I look for in a body lotion: Scent lasts for the entire day and the next day!, sinks into my skin as soon as I apply it which does not make me feel like a sticky creature that needs to be dried before touching anything & just smells absolutely heavenly.
-Equatorial Dreams body scrub
-Linsay Salmon nailpolish: Highly pigmented, long lasting and dries up so fast which is something that I REALLY appreciate.
-Say Pink nailpolish
*(There are things that you could see in the photo but I did not mention them because they were picked up by my sister and not me)

Vanity

I think that one of the most important elements of a serene bedroom is a beautined up nightstands. So here are some very easy tips that I like to follow for the visual anchor of my room. The easiest way to start up is by getting a vase and a set of flowers whether you like them fake or real, flowers always left up the entire room. I got my vase from Zarahome filled it up with my favorite flower (pink peonies). I always check Zarahome website before hitting the mall, to ensure that what I’m looking for is available instead of coming back home empty handed.

Adding Books is always a good decorating tip, especially fashion books, always beautifully covered. So this would be the second thing I’d have on my table.

Your nightstand has to contain the essential items that you need just before going to sleep, and first thing when you wake up in the morning. How to sum those essentials on your nightstand is pretty easy. All you need is a tray. In my case At night the first thing I need is Baies interior scent, the scent combines A bouquet of roses and blackcurrant leaves, which gives a perfect breeze of a garden feel in my room, so I like to spray a bit of it before I hit the shower. I also like to keep my favorite hand & body cream “PINK wild at heart” and my favorite perfumes in a tiny tray ( Wild bluebell by Jo Malone, Valentina by Valentino, Fresh Musk and Light Musk by Aljazeera). I love Arabian scents from Oud to Musk, my favorite scent for the last month has been Light Musk! You need to give it a sniff if you’re a die hard Arabian scents lover.

EDITED 3 photco 1-3What I keep on my nightstand is very changeable sometimes instead of having a set of perfumes, I might replace them with a candle or a jewellery box where I keep my daily jewellery or the leftovers of yesterday’s party, I got the green one and the mirrored one from Zarahome.

My second nightstand is a combination of stolen tableware from my mom’s kitchen kabord – way to be creative huh?- Starting from a heart-shaped tray from iDesign, containing a Villeroy&Boch glass jar for updated seasonal nailpolish, My favorite Jo Malone summery body cream Blackberry&bay and LSAinternational bowl that could contain girly snacks or daily jewels.

The Flower Crown & The Ear Jewel

photo2 2I think we have made enough statements with the necklace. That’s where the statement earrings pop in to make a change. I have mentioned before my amazement of constant changeable taste, as I have never imagined myself falling in love with dripping jewels. However, The van der Woodsens through the last couple of years made some changes to how my brain views things. Eric Daman (the stylist of gossip girl) has indeed introduced me to a new era of art and beauty. Not only are they astonishing, they can transform your day-look to night with one head-turning swoop.

As always with statement jeweleries you don’t have to put so much effort into your clothes you can keep it simple & the ear jewel will work its magic for you. “They’ll boost your confidence,” says Vogue Accessories Editor Amalia Keramitsis. “They’re conversation starters that usually involve a compliment.”

An addition to my Woodsens-influenced obsession, is a recent love for flower crowns. Obviously, I’m a die hard flower lover. From peonies, cornflowers to roses & lilies. So when I have the chance to have them as part of my outfit I will certainly not veto.

These are my favorites (starting from the first picture): all three pieces are by Chanel, Roberto Cavalli Ear cuff, Topshop stars ear cuff, Miu Miu, Impression boutique-not sure what brand got it as a lovely gift-, Mawi, Chanel, Oscar De La Renta, ). Flower crowns: Urban outfitters and Accessorize.

What’s in My Bag

Untitled-46 It’s finally the “What’s in my bag” blogpost that you guys wanted to see. The reason I did not do one earlier is because I’m the kind of person that would go out with an empty bag. I’m not even exaggerating, I’d literately just go out with a bag that contains absolutely nothing. Not even my phone *because it’s always out of charge*. Nevertheless, there would be those rare moments where I would actually carry tangible items in my bag and today was one of those moments so I thought to myself I should finally do the post!

What’s in my cosmetic bag: Laura Mercier silk creme foundation, MAC 130 brush, Inglot lipstick palette, Giorgio Armani eyes to kill mascara, Maybelline dream lumi touch concealer, Hand Maid by Soap and Glory, A super old Hello kitty mirror that is not even mine *I stole it from my sister* hehe. I had few nail polishes because I have a two hour long break and I thought I’d color my nails. I couldn’t pick what color I wanted at home so I just packed them all: Tomford in Smoke Red. Essie in Hot Coco. Topshop Nails in Big Smoke.

Let me know if you would like to see “What’s in my bag” regularly xo.
