Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate , roughly chopped
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 500g icing sugar , (250g for the brownie, 150g for the cheesecake and 100g for the cream topping)
  • 5 eggs, (3 for the brownie and 2 for the cheesecake)
  • 110g plain flour
  • 400g cream cheese
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 300ml whipping cream
  • 150g raspberries, plus extra to decorate

photo 4Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (325°F) Gas 3.
  2. For the brownie: Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (do not let the base of the bowl touch the water). Leave until melted and smooth. Put the butter and sugar in a freestanding electric mixer with a paddle attachment and beat until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well and scraping any unmixed ingredients from the side of the bowl with a rubber spatula after each addition. Gradually beat in the flour, mixing well after each addition, then turn the mixer up to high speed and beat for a little longer until you get a smooth mixture.
  4. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate and mix thoroughly. Pour into the prepared baking tray and smooth over with a palette knife.
  5. For the cheesecake: Put the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract in a freestanding electric mixer with a paddle attachment and beat on slow speed until smooth and thick. Add one egg at a time, while still mixing. Scrape any unmixed ingredients from the side of the bowl with a rubber spatula after each addition. The mixture should be very smooth and creamy.
  6. The mixer can be turned up to a higher speed at the end to make the mix a little lighter and fluffier, but be careful not to overmix, otherwise the cheese will split. Spoon on top of the brownie and smooth over with a palette knife.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes, or until the cheesecake is firm to the touch and light golden around the edges. The centre should still be pale. Leave to cool completely, then cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
  8. For the cream topping: Put the cream, sugar and raspberries in a freestanding electric mixer with a whisk attachment and beat until firm but not stiff. Turn the brownie out onto a board and turn the right way up. Spread the topping evenly over the brownie and decorate with more raspberries.

Vanity

I think that one of the most important elements of a serene bedroom is a beautined up nightstands. So here are some very easy tips that I like to follow for the visual anchor of my room. The easiest way to start up is by getting a vase and a set of flowers whether you like them fake or real, flowers always left up the entire room. I got my vase from Zarahome filled it up with my favorite flower (pink peonies). I always check Zarahome website before hitting the mall, to ensure that what I’m looking for is available instead of coming back home empty handed.

Adding Books is always a good decorating tip, especially fashion books, always beautifully covered. So this would be the second thing I’d have on my table.

Your nightstand has to contain the essential items that you need just before going to sleep, and first thing when you wake up in the morning. How to sum those essentials on your nightstand is pretty easy. All you need is a tray. In my case At night the first thing I need is Baies interior scent, the scent combines A bouquet of roses and blackcurrant leaves, which gives a perfect breeze of a garden feel in my room, so I like to spray a bit of it before I hit the shower. I also like to keep my favorite hand & body cream “PINK wild at heart” and my favorite perfumes in a tiny tray ( Wild bluebell by Jo Malone, Valentina by Valentino, Fresh Musk and Light Musk by Aljazeera). I love Arabian scents from Oud to Musk, my favorite scent for the last month has been Light Musk! You need to give it a sniff if you’re a die hard Arabian scents lover.

EDITED 3 photco 1-3What I keep on my nightstand is very changeable sometimes instead of having a set of perfumes, I might replace them with a candle or a jewellery box where I keep my daily jewellery or the leftovers of yesterday’s party, I got the green one and the mirrored one from Zarahome.

My second nightstand is a combination of stolen tableware from my mom’s kitchen kabord – way to be creative huh?- Starting from a heart-shaped tray from iDesign, containing a Villeroy&Boch glass jar for updated seasonal nailpolish, My favorite Jo Malone summery body cream Blackberry&bay and LSAinternational bowl that could contain girly snacks or daily jewels.

The Three Bs

Untitled-3..In more depth and details the reason why we went to Notting Hill in the first place was the french restaurant “Beach Blanket Babylon.” If you personally know me or an old follower of my blog then you’ll know how much I LOVE  European -more specifically- french furniture and BBB gives the feeling of a luxurious Château.

edited2Unfortunately the timing of the restaurants here is pretty frustrating, lunch ends at three and dinner starts at six and we were there 3:30 therefore we did not make it to lunch, so we just sat down for drinks instead. Because the place was so beautiful I wanted to try the food and also it’s pretty far from our apartment, we decided we’d shop until dinner to not miss the chance of having delicious food. And I’m so glad we did, I found so many AMAZING stores that had edgy clothes, beautiful furniture and cute pet stores.

newGot my Pooh a couple of things. I finally got her a collar, she’s almost 1 and she doesn’t have one *terrible mommy alert*

002And of course when there is Diptyque, there’s a candle purchase. Their scents are so unique and divine. I got the limited edition Rose Duet that was recently launched which combines two layers of Roses and Baies, the scent takes you to a garden of delights..

After the very long walk we took, we were finally back at BBB for a lovely dinner by the fire and the food was deliciously worth it

Tea Party in Heaven

1Spent the afternoon in heaven with my best friend and sister sipping tea and contemplating wings and roses, it was truly a perfect respite from a week of intense thoughts.. I am just insanely in love with this amazing cake, I wish I can keep it in my room forever.

Sirena & Mason

On Tuesday I was taking a morning walk at Tottenham Court Road in tweeded pumps, it seemed like an interesting street, I penetrated on every block looking for something but even I didn’t know what that thing was, until I saw Paperchase and I immediately knew that Chanel brought me here for a reason. Paperchase is one of my favorite stationary producers so to find a huge store just for its products was like finding paradise..

.. After I bought almost everything, I headed to lunch at one of my favorite Italian restaurants on James street “Sirena” I ordered the usual Sea food risotto with prawns

Selfridges was the nearest spot to shop so we had ourselves a treat of silk and lipstick..

You always need a hug in a cup after a doze of Italian & I never mind having my warm huggy tea with scones and chocolate at “The Fountain”

Of course it is not possible to be at Fortnum and Mason without shopping for tea.
