Vanity

I think that one of the most important elements of a serene bedroom is a beautined up nightstands. So here are some very easy tips that I like to follow for the visual anchor of my room. The easiest way to start up is by getting a vase and a set of flowers whether you like them fake or real, flowers always left up the entire room. I got my vase from Zarahome filled it up with my favorite flower (pink peonies). I always check Zarahome website before hitting the mall, to ensure that what I’m looking for is available instead of coming back home empty handed.

Adding Books is always a good decorating tip, especially fashion books, always beautifully covered. So this would be the second thing I’d have on my table.

Your nightstand has to contain the essential items that you need just before going to sleep, and first thing when you wake up in the morning. How to sum those essentials on your nightstand is pretty easy. All you need is a tray. In my case At night the first thing I need is Baies interior scent, the scent combines A bouquet of roses and blackcurrant leaves, which gives a perfect breeze of a garden feel in my room, so I like to spray a bit of it before I hit the shower. I also like to keep my favorite hand & body cream “PINK wild at heart” and my favorite perfumes in a tiny tray ( Wild bluebell by Jo Malone, Valentina by Valentino, Fresh Musk and Light Musk by Aljazeera). I love Arabian scents from Oud to Musk, my favorite scent for the last month has been Light Musk! You need to give it a sniff if you’re a die hard Arabian scents lover.

EDITED 3 photco 1-3What I keep on my nightstand is very changeable sometimes instead of having a set of perfumes, I might replace them with a candle or a jewellery box where I keep my daily jewellery or the leftovers of yesterday’s party, I got the green one and the mirrored one from Zarahome.

My second nightstand is a combination of stolen tableware from my mom’s kitchen kabord – way to be creative huh?- Starting from a heart-shaped tray from iDesign, containing a Villeroy&Boch glass jar for updated seasonal nailpolish, My favorite Jo Malone summery body cream Blackberry&bay and LSAinternational bowl that could contain girly snacks or daily jewels.

The Flower Crown & The Ear Jewel

photo2 2I think we have made enough statements with the necklace. That’s where the statement earrings pop in to make a change. I have mentioned before my amazement of constant changeable taste, as I have never imagined myself falling in love with dripping jewels. However, The van der Woodsens through the last couple of years made some changes to how my brain views things. Eric Daman (the stylist of gossip girl) has indeed introduced me to a new era of art and beauty. Not only are they astonishing, they can transform your day-look to night with one head-turning swoop.

As always with statement jeweleries you don’t have to put so much effort into your clothes you can keep it simple & the ear jewel will work its magic for you. “They’ll boost your confidence,” says Vogue Accessories Editor Amalia Keramitsis. “They’re conversation starters that usually involve a compliment.”

An addition to my Woodsens-influenced obsession, is a recent love for flower crowns. Obviously, I’m a die hard flower lover. From peonies, cornflowers to roses & lilies. So when I have the chance to have them as part of my outfit I will certainly not veto.

These are my favorites (starting from the first picture): all three pieces are by Chanel, Roberto Cavalli Ear cuff, Topshop stars ear cuff, Miu Miu, Impression boutique-not sure what brand got it as a lovely gift-, Mawi, Chanel, Oscar De La Renta, ). Flower crowns: Urban outfitters and Accessorize.

Lush Haul

Untitled-41I’ve been wanting to write about lush for a while now because it would be really selfish and unfair for me not to share the amazing products I’ve found at this magical place of soaps. Surprisingly I have never been to LUSH in my life before few days ago, although we do have it in Doha but I guess I was never interested or I thought it’s no good. Lately, I’ve been a youtube maniac -as you know- and everyone on youtube bumbled and rumbled on how lush products were amazing so I thought I’d try them out. The first time I went to lush it was pretty overwhelming. I didn’t know how to shop or what to do, there were so many things, so many labels and so many colors. But now that I finally understand how every product works I look at lush as if it was disneyland for cosmetics. I thought I’d share with you how everything works, what I got and which one of each category was my favorite

Bath Ballistics:

How they work: through them in a tub filled with water they’ll give color and a divine smell. I usually combine them with bubble bars because they only give color, smell and moist but no bubbles.

Untitled-56

Think Pink: My favorite, a definite re-purchase, after you’re done with your bath it will leave your bathtub with little heart shaped prints.

Tisty-Tosty: Love, re-purchase, leaves the tub with little roses.

Space Girl: Smells great, loved it.

Butterball: Didn’t try it yet.

Bubble Bars:

How they work: Before you fill your tub with water you have to crumble the bubble bars and then add water with high pressure so you’d get the most bubbles out of your bar. Here it’s the other way around color does not last as much but the smell it will last forever *sigh*

levenderUntitled-62A French Kiss: My favorite, smells like lavender, repurchase.

Amandopondo: “A beautiful rose and lemon bath, for when life is being a bitch” describes it pretty well

Green Bubbleroon: Lovely if you’re in for a garden of delights, smells like fresh green grass.

Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds: Didn’t try it yet

The Comforter: Didn’t try it yet

Body conditioner

Untitled-32Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner: This is absolute magic. Because of the unbearable cold weather I have been living through in London my skin got so dry like it never did before! after one use of this my skin was so soft and smooth even better than it was before!! Smells fantastic – smooth – you don’t have to apply lotion afterwords.

Body butter:

2 Untitled-69 Untitled-66You Snap The Whip: LOVE. It smells so good, works so well. It’s made to soften the hard areas like the knees and elbows, and -surprise- it really does!

Buffy: Didn’t try it yet.

Shampoo Bar:

I liked the concept behind the shampoo bars. Lush is a friend of the environment therefore they came up with these shampoo bars so they’d produce less of the plastic containers. So I really respect lush for that, even if you return five containers of your finished-used products they’d give you a product for free just to encourage recycling.

New: LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Really helped my hair! my sister also got this and she loved it as well.
Seanik: It’s good, but I liked “new” better.

Shower Jellies:

Sweetie pie: To be honest I found it quite difficult to work with the shower jelly, it can be used for the body and scalp as well. I, however don’t believe that I would re-purchase it.

Fresh Face Masks:

maskThey also make fresh face masks that last for two weeks I thought I’d try some..

Love Lettuce: the first lush product that I did not like. the seller recommended this one to me because I have combination skin and she said this would restore the balance of my skin. It didn’t, I really didn’t see any difference. I think it works more as an exfoliater than a mask and my exfoliater is SO MUCH better so I didn’t like this one.

Ayesha: On the other hand, I LOVED this one so much, after 10 minutes I was left with glowy, healthy looking skin like i just had a facial at Bliss. Although, it looks and smells hm what’s the word? let’s go with “not very pleasant”

Soaps:

Willow: Didn’t try it yet. But the reason I got this one was not the smell (although it does smell good) it was the legend behind the pattern that gave me goosebumps. I never really knew what the pattern on fine china meant. Here’s the simplified story (I bet the seller tells it better).. There was a girl who fell in love with a man from a lower class than her, her dad did not approve of her love, so he had engaged her to a wealthy Duke, the man she fell in love with wouldn’t give up on her so they ran away together and lived happily and in harmony for some time but then the Duke found them and had them executed. Later on people sympathized their love so they had the two lovers symbolized as pair of doves.

back to the products..

Sultana: I started using the sultana and I really liked it.

Fun:

I loveeee fun!! You can create any shape you want, with the color and the scent of your preference! And you know me I love personalized products.

How to use it:”There are so many ways to wash with Fun. For body and hair, just pinch off a small bit, hop in the shower or bath and lather from head to toe. Use as a bubble bath or to hand wash your clothes by crumbling a small chunk under the hot running tap. When you’ve finished having Fun, please store your bar back in its cellophane.” *website description*

How I use it: I use it to add more bubbles to my bath, I love bubbles and fun creates waaay more bubbles than the bubble bars and it also smells great! I got it in Red and Blue.

Hope this would help xxo

Greenwich

My first day at London was spent at Greenwich village, beautiful place I loved the fact that so many movies were shot there like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and 20 more others. it is indeed a perfect setting for historical movies where it’s built upon the traditional European architecture..

There were very few distracts that were built modernly, one of them and the tallest one is “The Shard” a beauteous skyscraper owned by Qatar.

Topshop Makeup

Today I bring you one of my favorite makeup products by Topshop. What’s in my makeup case and what I wish to have in it soon. Starting from Face to eyes, lips & nails. If you haven’t tried Topshop makeup line, you really shouldn’t be waiting any longer, each product has a sensational vibe to it.

My two favorite face products are “Skin glow” which is an amazing highlighter to your skin that highlights and boost radiance. The other one is “Cheeks” I’ve got it in Prism but I’m planning to tryout more colors from this product because I absolutely love how it defines and highlight cheeks. It can be used to lips and any other body spot that you’d like to highlight.

Even their blush is interesting and absolutely gorgeous I’ve got it in “Pinch” and more colors will be tested soon. Topshop makeup has inner and outer beauty, there are so many blushers that seems to contain beautiful and strong colors but when applying them there is really nothing and they’re absolutely useless.

To be honest I don’t use the cream eyeshadow a lot, but that’s only because I’m more of a clean eye kind of a person. But if you are up to party you should definitely try them out. I’ve got “Darkness” which is basically black, “Heavy metal” which is metallic grey (my favorite), “Emerald city” which is green and finally “velvet” which is purple.

I didn’t try topshop lipsticks because all the colors I’ve wanted were out of stock and unfortunately the online store does not ship directly to Qatar and I’ve had it with aremx so I’d rather wait for my next trip to London or Dubai. Moving on to  what’s on my wishlist, everything on my wishlist is on this look.

And their nailpolish is pretty awesome as well, my favorites: Daydream, world’s end and green room.

Audrey Hepburn

Spending my Thursday morning reading about the beautiful Audrey Hepburn in AuderyStyle by Pamela Clarke Keogh
