Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetYou realize what makeup products you like the most when you find yourself reaching out to them whenever you’re in a good mood or going somewhere special. I thought I would do a little post about the products I’m currently loving.. Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset If you want to save yourself a read then here is a list of the products I will rave about

Benefit porefessional Primer Chanel Mat Lumiere Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua 2000 collection concealer MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder YSL Radiant Touch Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion The Hourglass – modernist Chanel Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow-Emerveille Stila waterproof liquid liner Chanel Volume MascaraNars Laguna Bronzer CT Glow UD All nighter makeup setting spray

Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetI’m not a big fan of premiers and I rarely use them, but I actually ended up loving Benefit porefessional I‘d usually apply it after moisturizing. Then I’d follow with my favorite foundations, Chanel Mat Lumiere and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, I mix them together and use Sigma F82 for application and then just to make sure that my foundation is well blended I follow up with a clean Real Techniques Stippling Brush. If I’m having a good skin day I’d skip this step but if there are any imperfections I’d use 2000 collection concealer to cover any blemishes or breakouts, etc.. Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetFor highlighting and brightening, I’ll start applying MAC Pro Longwear Concealer using Sigma E60 brush under my eye then I’ll set it using NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder with Real Techniques micro Setting Brush. There are two ways mac concealer could go: either you get it right and it looks amazing!! Or you get it wrong and it looks cakey.   Sometimes I would highlight lightly some areas like the bridge of my nose or the peek under my eyebrows using YSL highlight pen. Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetBefore applying eyeshadow I use Sigma P84 brush to get rid of any creasing on the eyes. Then I’ll apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and blended also using Sigma P84 brush. Been very much loving the Hourglass palette it’s highly pigmented but I wish there was a bit of shimmer to it, it’s too mat! and also I wish I made a wiser choice of the colors. Mine is The Hourglass – modernist, been using the beige mat as base for Chanel Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in the color Emerveille using Sigma E55. Absolutely love the two together! Finish up with Stila waterproof liquid liner ,curl my lushes & Chanel Volume Mascara.(It’s more than amazing, go get it!). (Unfortunately I forgot about taking pictures of the rest of the products so I just listed them up). Side note: Please let me know what you prefer in the comments. More detail or less detail? just a list or how I personally feel about each product? I’d love to know your opinion xo

N-A-P Beauty Haul

IMG_8514 copyThere is nothing more fulfilling than the feeling of receiving a new package especially when it is coming from the ultimate luxury destination. I was extremely excited when Net-A-Porter extended to beauty and I finally found myself in actual need for new beauty products so I thought it is the perfect time to go droll and scroll on NAP page!

IMG_8538 IMG_8549 copy Here’s what I got:

IMG_8578Skincare: SK-II Pitera Essence SetI don’t think I’ve ever heard bad things about SK-II and I’ve always wanted to try out their Facial Treatment Essence. So I figured I’d try out this set which comes in a reasonable size for a first time try and includes what I believe my skin needs right now.  Set includes Facial Treatment Mask, Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion.

Haircare: Another thing I’ve always wanted to try is Oribe Signature Shampoo and I also went with the Oribe Signature Conditioner.

Bath&Body: Le Labo, Rose 31 Shower Gel. I got this because I miss, miss, miss and miss my flowery and rosy shower gels -As some of you might know I used to get most of my shower gels from Jo Malone until I started boycotting them because they come under Estee Lauder Group which funds war against Palestinians- I honestly had so many moments where I was like I’m just gonna go in and buy one thing but I keep reminding myself that people’s lives are more important than a shower gel. So long story short I thought I’d give this product a try. I hope it smells as good as the description.

IMG_8608 copyMakeup: I loved almost everything that I previously purchased from CT. Two things I did not try before from her line were lipsticks and eyeshadows so I went for Charlotte Tilbury Eye Shadow Palette – Fallen Angel and Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick – Love Liberty. I’ve always wanted to try out Hourglass Highlights and Blushes because that’s what they’re mostly known for however at the time of my purchase they were sold out so instead I went with Modernist Eyeshadow Palette – Monochrome.

I was in need of a new eyelash curler so I added Le Metier De Beaute Eyelash Curler to my bag. And finally I got By Terry Lip Balm in Rosy Babe I’m REALLY disappointed with this product, I’ve already gave it a try and its not what I expected it to be! The color sucks and it isn’t nourishing or moisturizing enough! Such a shame cuz I was really looking forward to it 😦

IMG_8641 copyHope you enjoyed the haul as much as you enjoy receiving packages *I hope too much hehe* xox

Sweets day II

photo 2I can’t believe a year has passed on my last sweetsday post.. and here comes again another half traditional half modernized outfit for the day.

What I wore: a bisht by Purpura fashion (Kuwaiti designer), top shop jumpsuit. Paired it with Christian Louboutin brown pumps.

photo 3-2

Unlike the annual-usual over accessorizing during grangao nigh, I went for very little jewels this time, and there were two reasons for that. First, the bisht didn’t really give me much choice. And the second reason is that I was really excited to finally have an occasion and an outfit that fits my 20s inspired necklace that my dad has gotten for me the last time he visited Turkey. The excitement came after F. Scott Fitzgerald’s recent remake of the great Gatsby where the movie had wide ranges of stone and pearl stunners that have made me fall deeper in love with Ziegfeld collection. An addition to the necklace I added two serpenti rings and gold earrings.

photo 1 photo 2photo 4photo 3-3 photo 1 As for the makeup, I almost always have the same exact foundation routine, which I have mentioned previously (here). Few highlights of my makeup on the 14th of Ramadan was maybelline one by one mascara, Tom Ford pure pink lipstick (which is the most worn lipstick I’ve ever owned and I’m very sad they have discontinued it) and finally glow getter fake tan.photwwwwo 2

An advice to glow getter fake tan users: apply it hours before you get ready you’re gonna get AMAZING results. I used to spray it minutes before I leave the house which was a huge mistake it’s gonna stink your cloths and won’t have enough time to sink into your skin. I could see a huge difference when I apply it hours before my date night.

photoBefore I start with my makeup, I have to fix some issues with my skin, if it’s one of those days where its unbelievably dehydrated, I would use Liz Earle moisturizer. The second thing I would do is apply Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye cream which is the perfect base for concealer. I have this issue where I feel that every time I apply concealer my under eye area gets darker and darker, and concealer is not something I’m willing to let go of, so I got this product for the purpose of using it as concealer base. However, there is an issue with this product if you start applying your concealer immediately after you applied it, your makeup is going to look greasy and flaky and all kind of things that you don’t want to see, you HAVE to wait at least 15 minutes before starting up with your makeup same goes with moisturizer.

fMoving on to the next step, I start by using MAC prep+prime to help increase the lifetime of my makeup. Now with all the fun not colorless stuff, first I would apply concealer on any blemishes or scars and also under my eyes, I recently purchased Chanel correction perfection concealer, I really like it however I still do believe nothing can top up my previous Cargo concealer that I’ve previously mentioned I’m really upset we no longer have it at Sephore, I don’t understand why every time I get hooked on something they shut it down, it seems that I jinx products *sorry producers* .. anyway I fell off subject there, for the perfect foundation I like to mix MAC studio Fix nc25 with Chanel Mat Lumiere 20 on my heart paw palette using MAC 190 brush . If you’re a mac user you would know that sometimes their foundation could get a bit to yellowyy and this is why I love mixing it with a lighter foundation to get the perfect coverage. After I’m done with the foundation I would blend some more using MAC 130SE brush. then to brighten up my eyes I apply a teeny bit of YSL radiant touch in the corner of my eyes. Because I used fake tan on my body my face need to be tanned as well, A spray of Soap & Glory Glow Getter

photo 5Afterwards, I use collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer under the peek of my eyebrows. then fill my eyebrows with Bobbi brown eyeshadow in the color Rich brown 11 using Bobbi Brown eyebrow brush. For the eyes, I used urban decay eyeshadow primer potion. The Eye shadows I used were by MAC Nylon and Tempting applied each using Bobbi brown Eyeshadow brush then blended them using MAC 217 brush. Then used my ultimate favorite eyeliner Penultimate eyeliner in Rapidblack & finally applied my new favorite mascara Limited edition MAC Opulash Optimum Black mascara.

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Untitled-3

Few people have asked if I have ever tried drugstore makeup and my answer is always “No” so I thought I’d change the answer to something else..

1I thought I’d give boots a visit and check out their products..

foundationI really like trying on new foundations and I have heard so many good things about the Revlon Colorstay foundation so I thought I’d give it a try. I wouldn’t say it’s the best foundation but it’s pretty good, I liked it’s texture the only thing is it does not stay as long but that’s probably because I picked up the normal/dry skin one instead of oily/combination skin which is my fault not the foundation’s fault. But overall I’d say it’s good not great.

fI also picked up the Maybelline Dream Lumi touch highlighting concealer the first time I applied it, I did not like it at all and the second time I kinda felt a little bit better about it.. so I’m not really sure how I feel about it quite yet.

Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer. I absolutely love this! It conceales pretty well yes but I also love it for another reason. I don’t tweeze my eyebrows, I bleach them so sometimes I’m left with little brand new hairs and they usually bother me SO MUCH this was the perfect solution for it I would just apply a little bit under the peak of my eyebrow where they usually appear and it will hide them like magic and actually prefect the shape of my eyebrow. I don’t use it as my main concealer because I love mine more but I do use it daily for my eyebrows.

IMG_2074I got maybelline Flared mascara and Cat eyes mascara. I LOVED that flared mascara so much! it does not smudge at all which is a huge appreciation and most mascaras give me a headache -yup it’s pretty weird I’m pretty sure i’m the only one who gets mascara headaches- this one is too light that it doesn’t give me on. on the other hand I hated the cat eyes it’s the exact opposite too heavy on the lashes and smudges like crazy

eI got two lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection by Rimmel. This is my favorite pick up. They last for so long, pigmented and mat just they way I like my lipsticks. got them in 90 and 10.

Golden girl

1Before there were diamonds, before there was de la Renta, chocolate was my best friend. Today I had a crave for glow and I knew exactly how to fulfill it; My camera and little bites of ferrero rocher..

121

It’s not just my stomach that was doing the craving. It was my face too, it’s pretty simple no beauty sleep no beauty. But, there’s always a but and there’s always a replacement; little magic from YSL concealer (Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat) and Dior ultimate shimmering powder(Rose diamond)..

.. and DG( Jewels 142 Eyeshadow Quad), YSL (ROUGE VOLUPTÉ #7).

Untitled-28

Untitled-44Golden metallic snake-embossed leather shined through my closet so it had to be my purse for the night..

Untitled-43

I had to leave ADR sunnies behind, it’s January not June. Nevertheless, it’s always lovely to look at.

4J’adore fragrances by Christan Dior, is not my first choice of a perfume, but I love the smell of it, because it reminded me of my mom’s beauty, when I was little and she’d be getting ready for work looking all glowy and glamorous, her final touches would always be little sprinkles of J’adore and my final step of getting ready is remembering the beauty of her..

new1My first choice of a perfume though would be Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford, I will never get over the beauty of the scent -absolute stunner-.

It has been a while since I’ve looked back on what used to be my favorite teen brand (Juicy couture) I don’t even remember where I’ve placed the jeweleries that I once used to love. One thing however that has never left my sight is the cupcake necklace that was given to me from a dear friend in high school on one of the nicest birthdays I’ve had, I wear it all the time to restore my teen blaze.
